Getting Started with Zoe VR

These tutorials will help you get started with Zoe VR. You will learn the basic controls, how to use and modify objects, use Zoe's interactive system and play your experience.
Requirements
  • Zoe VR App version 0.6 minimum
  • Oculus Quest or Oculus Rift / Rift S
  • Smartphone if using the Oculus Quest
  • VR-ready PC if using the Rift / Rift S
  • Oculus Link Cable if using the Quest wired to a PC

When first launching the Zoe VR app, you will be prompted to watch Getting Started tutorials; if you prefer to watch them outside of the headset, you can do it on this page.

At any time you can access the tutorials in the app by clicking on the icon located at the bottom of the main menu.

If you can't see the tutorials in the app, make sure you have at least version 0.6.

1. Creating your First Scene

Welcome to Zoe VR! In this exercice, learn to open the main menu, create your first scene, and change the background environment.
Here's a recap of the main steps of this exercice:
  • Open the main menu.
  • Use the right controller to aim at the menu and select an option.
  • Create a scene and open it.
  • Choose a background environment.

2. Edit & Play Modes

In this exercice you will learn how to switch between Edit and Play modes, and how to navigate in each mode.

  • Switch between EDIT and PLAY modes. Understand the difference between them.
  • Learn the specific control scheme for navigating in each mode

3. The Asset Library

In this exercice, you will learn how to navigate in the asset library and import 3D models into your scene.

4. Moving & Resizing Objects

Learn how to move, resize, and rotate the objects in your scene.

5. Modifying Object Settings

Learn how to modify object settings by adding Gravity, setting up Manipulation, and activating Collisions.

6. Setting up an Interaction

Learn how to set up an Interaction and modify it.
